Pick your travel month first, then choose the base that makes the event easiest: Vilnius for the widest choice, Kaunas for music and modern culture, Klaipėda for Sea Festival and coast access, and Druskininkai or Visaginas for more specific local trips.
Choose accommodation around the event venue and the last train or bus you can use. After a late concert, an overnight stay may be more practical than returning to another city.
